Professor Lisa Kern Griffin teaches in the areas of evidence and criminal law and procedure. Prior to coming to Duke in 2008, Griffin taught at the UCLA School of Law. Her academic interests in white collar crime and in the role of the jury stem from her experience as a federal prosecutor; she worked in the Chicago United States Attorney's Office from 1999 to 2004. Her current research concerns the expressive consequences of prosecutions for process crimes such as false statements, obstruction, and perjury. Her current courses include Evidence and Readings in Ethics.
