Duke Law graduates are in high demand because they are known as leaders, clear thinkers, and excellent writers who are ready to serve as effective advocates from day one. Several hundred employers from around the country come to Duke each year to recruit our students, and our Career and Professional Development Center provides a vast array of resources and programs designed to help you find the best job for you, no matter what location or field you choose.
Career Information Snapshot 2007/2008
- 100% of graduates in the Class of 2007 were employed within nine months of graduation;
- The median starting salary for 2008 graduates was $160,000;
- Duke Law graduates rank among the 'most-hired' in recent National Law Journal surveys of the 250 largest law firms in the country;
- More than 7,000 on-campus interviews were conducted with 207 second-year students during 2007-08;
- The number of interviews and offers made in 2007-08 far exceeded the number of students interviewing. Students averaged 30-40 interviews each; most received multiple offers.
